Who will be playing at the 2026 World Cup?

Over 1,000 players (1,248 to be exact) will compete at this year’s World Cup finals, as each nation can call up 26 players, including three goalkeepers.

The final squad deadline is 2 June, by which we will know every player in action in North America.

What’s the format of the FIFA World Cup 2026?

The tournament will consist of one group-stage round and four knockout rounds before the final.

Unlike previous editions, the knockouts will begin with the round of 32, followed by the round of 16, the four quarterfinals and two semifinals.

How many venues will be used in 2026?

There are 16 stadiums across the three countries: 11 in the USA, three in Mexico and two in Canada. They include BC Place Vancouver, which was used for the Olympic Winter Games of Vancouver 2010, and the Estadio Azteca, the only venue to have already hosted World Cup football.
